The Kerala State Pharmacy Council is a statutory body functioning under the Kerala State health Department. It is constituted under Section 19 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 to regulate the profession and practice of Pharmacy in the State.
The office of the Kerala State Pharmacy Council is functioning in MNVG Adiyodi Memorial Pharmacy Bhavan, P.H. Lab Compound, Red Cross Road, Thiruvananthapuram, very near to the State Drugs Control office.
The Kerala State Pharmacy Council consist of 15 members out of which 6 are elected from among Registered Pharmacists, 5 are (Registered Pharmacist) nominated by the State Government and one member is elected from the Medical Council. There are also 3 ex-officio members viz., The Director of Health Services, State Drugs Controller and Chief Government Analyst.
General Council will meet once in four months and the Executive Committee will meet monthly.
